1117-8 - Thummel - $5000
Early 1900s pale grey prancer from the Hermann Thummel carousel works in Germany carries a saddle with an eagle cantle. The head is borne on an upraised neck crested with a mane carved in high relief. The chest is protected by an ornate peytral composed of a wide band from which depends detailed and fringed scallops; breeching of similar design encompasses the hindquarters. Older restoration in very good condition. Glass eyes and natural horsehair tail. 55 long x 55 high.
